HCNZ Overview

Established in 1988, Healthcare of New Zealand Limited (HealthCare NZ) provides services to a wide range of New Zealanders, whatever their age, disability, injury or illness.

With 4 million hours of care being provided every year by HealthCare of New Zealand staff, over 16,000 people are cared for in their own homes. Every day, a further 500 people are supported in specialist community homes and aged care hospitals.

Employing over 5,000 full and part-time staff throughout the country, HealthCare of New Zealand’s services are provided and coordinated nationally in over 35 locations from Invercargill to Auckland, including many rural communities.

HealthCare of New Zealand's vision is to provide the best community based health and disability care in New Zealand - for people with work and sport injuries, for older people, for those with disabilities and for Maori and Pacific peoples.

Wellington Free Ambulance Overview

Wellington Free Ambulance has been the key emergency provider for the greater Wellington community since 1927. Wellington Free Ambulance is committed to providing the highest quality clinical care in emergency situations, pre-hospital care, rescue, and transport services.

For those Freedom clients who reside outside the Wellington area, your medical alarm is still connected directly to the Central Emergency Ambulance Communications Centre who promptly arrange the dispatch of an ambulance from within your local area.
